Hi everyone...
Thank you to all that responded to my previous thread about my master cylinder.much appreciated.it was infact that and problem is completely sorted now... Only forr a new one to arise
ps if this thread is in da wrong place please move it to the appropriate forum if u like.my apologies in advance...
So...
Im driving a 95 fiat uno 1100.im experiencing loss of power when i accelerate or pull away.car is running sluggishly as if there is lack of fuel going thru to th combustion chmber.it started a while back so i serviced the car changed the plugs filters and oil.it ran well for a while after that.then problem returned.
so i did some research and changed my distributor cap.still no change.could it be the coil unit or the ecu unit sitting on the distributor?its gets quite hot and some1 mentioned to me it should not do that.i think it may be one of those items but im getting hesitant of buying new parts and then the problem still doesnt go away.for some reason uno parts even a spark plug are more expensive than golf parts.
Anyways if anyone can advise me if im on the right path please do so.what confuses me is one of the synptoms.if the coil is faulty the car is supposed to not accelarate over 30 mph?and swich of during driving?well i can accelerate but it is sluggish and i have to accelarate quickly ie push th pedal deeper to accelerate smoothly otherwise car shudders.and car switches of while idling,it did so only a few times but car swithes of easily when idling cold...
If its not the coil the ecu maybe?or something else?
