Can a Mk3 Punto speedo be re-calibrated to allow for different sized wheel/tyre combinations? Any tricks anybody knows of or failing that, can a dealer do it?
OK, I'll come clean. The engine and the management are in my classic Panda. All works, but plan to put in vastly smaller wheels than the Punto had. I know how to work out the difference between the wheels in terms of rolling radius or circumference, I just want to tell the ECU the new number. Do-able with plug in diagnostic stuff?
Thanks. Yes, panda-sport and I have spoken quite a bit at events and on the forum, but as he is not using the Punto electronics, I think Mk3 Punto folk are the best people to direct the question to. I am using the full dials, body computer and ECU set up, so it behaves exactly the same as a Punto Mk3 1.4 16V.
