hiya all, i think ive gotta do my cam belt as when i did service i noticed my aux belt was looking a bit crispy and shot, obviously you wouldnt change cambelt and not the aux belt so assuming it needs doing.
new to fiats and only ever done cambelt on peugeot or ford and wondered if same principle exists that water pump and tensioners should be done while im there?

EDIT: Thread title added

Re: Untitled

yes indeed, maybe do an oil change, sparks, coolant change, do the brake fluid while your there too, oh, and check your bulbs, put a 20vt engine in there aswell while your at it!

If you don't know the history, but plan on keeping the car a while, then you should definitely change the tensioners. Those fail just as often as the belts. The water pump s a matter of choice. They dont fail as often as they do on mondeos, fabias or octavias, but if you plan on keeping it a while, its worth considering. If you are doing the work yourself then i recommend doing the water pump too.
