Does anyone know if its an option at all on the Stilo to have coloured calipers, the reason i ask is i was thinking of painting mine, and the other day this old fella pulled up next to me in a 5 door stilo which had red calipers on it (and to be quite honest i cant imagine him on his knees painting them). Either that or does anyone know of aftermarket ones you can buy that fit a stilo that are coloured?

While im on the subject, my cars sassi grey, any suggestions on caliper colour?? i want something a bit different to the standard reds and yellows

I thik they are actually very esay to paint.
I also think taht gold would look nice (lika a Nissan 350Z) though personally i'd stik to good old red!!

I have a sassi grey 3 door stilo with 5 spoke 17's on and I have painted (with hammerite) the calipers gold and they look superb!!!!
Took a couple of hours of careful painting. Good excuse to give the wheels a real good clean too.
Anyway it has changed the hole look of the car and wheel area. Thought it was a shame to have great looking wheels with dirty horrid calipers behind!
Everyone has Red - boring!!!!

Yeah red's seems to be what everyone does these days. I think bright blue could look quite effective as well like the sprint blue you see on some stilo's.

Yeah im the one with the Alessio's, i think reds nice and it certainly shows up, but im just looking for different, its funny a couple of you mentioned gold, that was one of the colours id been thinking of.

I know what you mean about the rears lookin small, my mates just done the calipers on his prelude, and the rears look really strange cos they're so small.

Bit expensive ain't they???!!!!! I guess i'll have to stick to the Stilo's discs and paint them.
Now that we're on the subject; can the discs be changed for bigger ones without upseting all the brake-abs-brake assist-ebd.....? Are they all as expensive as this brembo kit???

well according to the Fiat rep, getting bigger brakes can affect the Abs system and he advised me not to go ahead with it on my car. Considering this would have allowed Fiat to wriggle out of warantee work then there must be some truth in it.

We put a set of black diamond combi discs & EBC pads of my friends Volvo T-5 they made so much noise he ended up taking them back off. Thought I better warn you Koa. ;)

Thats interesting Ben, i'll certainly keep that in mind. Cheers (y)

I think that the cross-drilled discs are ok but we fitted the combi ones which were grooved as well & thats what probably made all the racket.

FYI an example of blue calipers found on a italian stilo forum.

at least it gives some idea what thay might look like :)
