Caliper help

Hi,

just had some second hand calipers delivered and have a question. There are two thin rubber coats around the link between the two sides of the caliper. They are far too fragile to be carrying Hydraulic fluid or anything so i'm guessing they'll only be for dust cover. They have perished a little but I'm guessing I don't have to worry about it too much?

Any thoughts?

You will need to replace the rubbers, if any dirt gets in there it can prevent the callipers sliding properly (i.e releasing properly).

They look well used too. You doing the rear conversion? I'd just sell them back on or get a refund
