Technical Cabin/pollen filter replacement. Can someone tell me what screw this is?

Hi,

Can someone tell me what type of screw this is please?
I have a socket set but the smallest I have is 8mm. Either this is smaller than that or it's something else.
What to I need to get this out?

As per the GUIDES for this job

It is a 5.5 hex

( how is the gearbox?)

If you don't have the 5.5mm hex likeme, then a set of plyers will do the trick as well. Thats what I did

Got me a socket set which included the 5.5mm piece I needed.
Replaced cabin filter and the difference was amazing. Air!!
The old one was absolutely filthy.

BUT after about 2 days it has gone to sh*t again. Back to the same problem again even with a new filter that seemed to work for 2 days then rubbish again.

So weird

BTW varesecrazy the gearbox needed repaced (along with the clutch) and that's just been done today. The wallet has taken a right old bashing this month
