Hi , Been a while since iv been on here. Iv got a 2006 punto with C1005 Steering column motor , torque position sensor. Fault logging.
Can anyone say for sure what would be causing this. Iv been through quite a few threads that mention C1005 some say the column and the motor has to be replaced. Some say its the motor relays that can be replaced separate. And others say its the sensor that fits directly behind the steering wheel which can be replaced separate from the column and motor.

The steering angle is out as when the wheels are straight its reading 50 degrees. Iv recalibrate it but after a short drive its back out again. Any help appreciated.

Thanks

Yes , but the fault has only being coming on intermittent anyway so i have a feeling its going to come back on. Thanks

Just a quick update. The car is a recent purchase so could this be down to a low battery voltage if its been stood for sale for a while. Also since i plugged into it over the weekend. The fault only happens now when in city mode.
