General Buying a MK1 Sporting

Hi,

Sold my cinquecento sporting, then bought a Corsa (v.reliable but a touch boring) and now I want to buy another FIAT! Apart from the obvious is there anything I should look for particular to the mark 1 punto sporting?

Check when the last timing belt was done in the serive history as these are not FIRE saf engines and WILL damamge your engine fairly badly if they break and it could cost you probably more than the car is worth to fix if this happens. If car hasnt had a recent one, and is due one, just remember it is vital to change them
