MAF sensor!

if it accelerates like a bag of potatoes at about 3k then u need a new MAF sensor @ £140!

ermmm.. front shocks.. due to weight of diesel engine.. they wear out quicker...

thats about it really.. no blue smoke on reving or its burning oil.

should start more or less instantly... not wind over for ages and plume black smoke out the back.. or thats unburnt diesel... make sure the engins cold wen u go to it.. or be susspicious y's he got it warm to show u!

oil - make sure its not overfilled cos that will cause damage to a JTD engine.

If its a 105 JTD there is a pipe at the back of the engine about centre from a black vacume pump.. make sure the pipe isn't off or snapped cos that's a faulty Exhause Recurculating Valve which causes that :)

just check out.. buyers guide to a fiat bravo for the other stuff!

hope u find a corker!

Oh and check no dumb cnut has hand painted the weels Dulux White with a a hint of Apple...

LOL, respect

Nige

lol... its more hint of peach than apple.. cos i used the same brush to do the insides bright orange first!!

and I really dunno how every1 can go on about them... only the very few people who have actually seen them can really comment!!

another point of reference is.. wen im pulling away from u all.. the 007 smoke screen hides them anyhow! :p

so long as its got the red key and a comprehensive sevice history then it'll run for another 200k or however long your willing to fork out on wear items for

Thats a hefty mileage but that JTD engine will do 500K if its looked after properly. I'd expect to replace the shockers if not already done. Check on the brake pads/disks, as it might be worth doing those sooner rather than waiting for them to fail. Nige does a good red-dot set of disks/pads for a decent price. all the other stuff like roll-bar bushes, bump-stops etc will have taken a pasting over 100K, so it might be worth having a very thorough service done, and get rubber bushes etc replaced when its fairly new to you, that way you factor it into the buying cost of the car not the maintenance cost. You are buying a high mileage car, which will need a little bit of work done over time, so get it out of the way now, and you can just get on with lovin' it!

Sticking rear wiper, central locking, leaking sunroof, blocked drainage holes, poorly "put back together" interior trim, sagging seats, (seat mouns are also weak, as it height adjustment).

Usual wear and tear.

jtd hlx

So it's a sellers' market. A low mileage well looked after one owner JTD HLX with all the stamps etc., as it should be. What would you pay?

Re: jtd hlx

About £2-3k

Closer to 3k tho for the HLX but don't pay over the odds, cos HLX bits can be bought and added to an SX.

If you can get it for £2.5k then ur on to a winner :)

Re: jtd hlx

A genuine straight last of the HLX JTDs low mileage and not messed with like some Bravos you see and certainly not an SX imitation...how much?

Re: jtd hlx

Wot u call late.. 2000, 2001.. low millage 6k, 60k, 160k??

£2.5k is my offer
