On a different note ... whereabouts are you?
My location is where it says 'location' on the left.
I wasn't trying to stalk you, , Just wondered because you keep referring to it.
On a different note ... whereabouts are you?
Sorry, don't understand your message and find it VERY insulting.

Dear Disgusted,Locks, tyres, cables, bushes, brakes &c., &c. Could come to £1k.
Looks like a great deal of money to be spent on a car that's worth little.
I have a car the same engine & year as yours. 175K miles. Owned from new - so I guess that I know what has been done to it.
Personally, as your Multi needs too much at once, I'd be inclined to drive it to the tip & look for another one/something else.
Easy for me to say as I have alternative vehicles to fall back on. Trickier for you I'd guess...
Dear Alpitlum,Dear Alpitlum,
Thank you very much for your message - my apologies I took the wrong end of the stick re Thumbs - I've tried all local garages, spreading radius out, cannot find 2ndhand frame at mo and desperate for car, but as sub wld be £150.00 approx, plus drop old/fit new £180.00 approx. and no guarantee condition of shoes, cylinder(s), if I had new bushes, shoes, cylinder (bet it's just o/s 'cos that's side that froze) it SHOULD cost around same but I'd know items new and good. Local tyre-fitters told me tyres not overly rubbed - still OK - so shld need only 1 x front, needs little welding bump-stop x 1. H/brake cable was shock but seems quite common to need to do. It's the garages telling me uneconomical repair, but I've already paid to put rest right and what would I end-up with for £330.00 plus scrap fee?! - not a decent replacement car, that's for sure!! It may seem ridiculous to not be able to get car repaired, but this is the situation! - Maybe garages think I'm a secret hoarder ... of some magic money-tree and can somehow afford to scrap vehicles when they get dirty!?! Unfortunately it wasn't me with a winning Euromillions ticket so I still need to stick with what I have. I've never had so much trouble before in my LIFE!! It's like a very UN-funny farce!
Dear Multiplani,Just want to say.....
I have had a real run of problems since purchasing my first Multipla...its has cost me a small fortune...
However, I was contemplating getting rid and everbody was giving me the usual 'its gonna cost more than its worth'...but then I thought hang on...
I could go buy another seemingly good car...and just to have to start fixing problems from scratch again. At least with the money I have spent and the parts replaced, I know my Multipla is going to be relatively sorted or at least safe to drive and ready to give me good service.
I am driving about confident I have brand new...air filter, glow plugs, fuel filter, top notch oil, new wishbones, new droplinks, new brake pads, new handbrake cable, reconditioned rear callipers, new wiper blades, new battery, new anti roll bar bushes, new rear radius arms, fully checked and balanced brake system, fully checked suspension etc...
I know I still need....New front tyre, rear lens, airbag light switched off, possible wheel bearing and a damn good wash.
But at least I know I have a decently sorted Multipla.
You see...any S/H vehicle is hiding some niggles so if you are happy that you will be keeping the car for a few years and have already thrown good money at it...then if possible just try to stretch to the final hurdle and hopefully you will have a car that you know is safe and should give some good service.
I've actually broken down the cost of buying, fixing etc into daily motoring costs over the next few years and it actually works out at some good dheap motoring.
Thats what I think anyway. But I know...its a nightmare. Sure I've been posting in here myself to get help with gremlins!!!
