Fitted my Brembo's and 305mm vented disks a few week back, thought i'd put some pics up, well looking forward to driving her again. Its been a long winter with out my little beast

Picture is poor but you get the idea, they provide massive stopping power and look fantastic :)

Re: Re: Brembo stopping power

Do you reckon they'd reduce the premiums as he can stop quicker Roger??

Re: Re: Re: Brembo stopping power

best to just not comment eh Roger ?

As you don't know Rob and his car your comment simply makes you look a tit ;)

Anyway, back on topic. Like the brakes, it's been a while since you posted a full set of pics of your car. Hope you do once the weather picks up, also did you re-do the dash ?

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Brembo stopping power

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Brembo stopping power

Rob,

Will you be putting the 'other' pics up on here too? I'm sure a few would be interested in whats missing fro, the exterior ;)

Re: Re: Re: Re: Brembo stopping power

Yeah B I've re-done the dash and it does seem like ages since i've been on here properly too lol

the dash is nearly there I'm fairly pleased with it, my body shop still have the car at the moits all primed at the mo so its hards to gauge what it will look like
I'll be getting the car back the day before Donny show, so I'll have half a day to put the car back together! yikes i've got no chance :(

I'll get some pictures up of it all as soon as it comes put of the body shop though

still got plenty of stuff to do to it in the coming months too

I'm just glad the summers back again so i can drive it hehe

Re: Re: Brembo stopping power

Hi Ribzz, could you tell me how much you paid for the adapter brackets please?

Thanks,

Ben.

Re: Re: Re: Brembo stopping power

a friend made it for free m8

if you make one up your self out of MDF to the exact specifications you need then take it to a specialist they'll machine two sandwhich plates up for you

You should be able to find some one who'll do it in the yellow pages. It will cost you about £40-50

Re: Re: Re: Re: Brembo stopping power

so other than the plates, is it a simple "bolt on"?

Re: Re: Re: Re: Brembo stopping power

Obviously don't drive with the MDF ones ;) And do tell the machinist what they are for so they make them from the correct metal.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Brembo stopping power

they look like they could be laser cut, it's a relatively quick and cheap operation if you give them a drawing. they like to do multiples of parts as they can just stack the sheets of material on top of each other and cut it in one operation.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Brembo stopping power

thanks for stating the obvious there Thomas

yes Al they are laser cut

plasma cutters can be used put they dont cut as cleanly as a laser cutter.

its a fairly straight forward swap too, you'll have to replace your flexi hoses as the brembos are a different fit

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Brembo stopping power

Rob, SOMEONE would try it :)

Probably the sorta person who would also by the fibreglass brembo look covers or the bolt on 'discs' for the rear!
