Hi

I have a Bravo HLX 1.8 and my remote central locking and alarm dont work any ideas.. I think it the unit inside the car.. any way of testing it as i can do the soldering myself.. just would be nice to have it working.. if i use the key the central locking all works..

Hi Jay, I've an hlx also & had probs with the alarm/locking. I copped out I'm afraid & took it back to the garage – they gave some blurb about a low battery (I'd only just picked the car up & hadn't given it good run/recharge) I'm not convinced there's any truth in that.

I know there's a switch which de/activates the alarm etc – could this be faulty ?

i'm assuming you've checked the fob to see if its battery is okay?

if your alarm worked but didnt operate the central locking, i would have suggested checking the wires that trigger the central locking via the alarm.
as you say the alarm isn't working, you need to look further back to the alarm or before that, i.e. its power supply and fuse (would anyone know if the alarm is shared with anything else?)
