I've been having some issues with my Bravo a lot of the diagnostics and from reading the forums on here pointed towards the EGR valve it was losing going into limp mode and not revving after three and a half thousand revs I clean the valve and quite a few other parts in the engine and it was still doing it I was told that it could be the turbo on the way out I took the Vane actuator off to check it but that seems fine after putting it back on started no problem the following morning it wouldn't start at all put the diagnostics on it and it came up with error code p0016 took it to the garage they replaced both sensors. Problem I have now is that it doesn't always start first time it turns over no problem but then dies and when it does run it appears to run fine although a little lumpy if at low speed so I'm kind of foxed as so what else it could be.

Hi.

My friend has had a issue like this on a saab it was the cam position sensor.

My 1.6 did just this the other day. All sorts of error codes, but doing a forced regeneration of the DPF sorted it out and its running better than ever. It was reporting throttle / brake pedal sensor conflicts... All ******** of course. I think it was dirty sensors somewhere in the egr system. Interestingly when forced to regenerate the dpf it ran at 3000rpm for 15 - minutes and the exhaust temperature was 650C. It certainly got VERY hot during the process.
