T reg is more than likely a MKII. However I do know that mix n match models were made that year. What model is it? If its 1.4 its def a MKI, 1.2 def a MKII.
Other way to check is the badges on the side. If it has the engine size on the badge its a MKI, if it has the bhp on the side its a MKII
