Question for you clever ones

L reg [ '96 ? ] Parade

What type / manufacture brakes should it have ?

I'm looking to replace the Master cylinder and rear wheel cylinders/ shoes

I'm assuming Bendix ?

Cheers

Carl

Dunno if manufacturer is an issue with drums and shoes, should be able to get the right part if you tell your local factor the reg no. and what you need... Just don't get the original Fiat bits unless you're loaded / have to 'cos no one else has it / trying not to void the warranty :D:rolleyes:... But mostly 'cos the Fiat bits aren't cheap and it all works... sort of!!

Happy hunting!

Funny you should ask this now as I have just discovered that there are variations on the rear wheel cylinders. I bought some off ebay that I was sure would be OK. They looked identical but had a different thread at the rigid pipe union. This caused me to cross the thread and have to replace the pipe:rolleyes: At the factors, the computer was giving him Bendix and Lockheed systems for the same car (J reg). I got the right one in the end! My advice would be to check it carefully at a factors and make sure the threads are the same!

I was looking to get parts off ebay and remembered that there was various manufacturers for the brakes

Is there any obvious difference between the types that would be easily identifiable

Cheers for the heads up on thread difference

What about the rear shoes -
they look different in the pictures ?
