BRAKES HAVE GONE !!! Help

well i passed my test about 2 months ago now and the car has been great and it was ok last nite 2 but today my mam nocticed a light kept comin on everytime she was brakein? we think the brakes have gone but do you no if it is somehtin else at all

What light? Is it the handbrake light?

If so you need to check the brake fluid level first. It's probably low.

Is the braking effectiveness reduced?

At the end of the day if you are not sure get it towed to a garage. Brakes save your life but cant if they don't work.

if its his brakes, which it sounds like it is, theres plenty of safe miles left in it. But it will need topping up asap.

We need to know WHICH light is coming on, as there are several.

Either the pads are worn or the brake fluid is low.

if his pads were worn might he have felt some grind?

i didnt realise the Bravo had a 'brake pads worn' light. Thats one more undiscovered fault on my old brava!

The nearside front inside pad has a sensor wire in it.
