Hi all,
I have a 62 plate 500.
Had a few issues with it for last few weeks been trying to fix...
Daytime running light was out, so fixed that, but on top of that started getting a "check engine" warning, borrowed a "computer" which said the fault was ABS / Brake Switch.
Planning on getting this resolved but while i was looking for the brake switch i found a few cables in the drivers footwell...in other words just loose... any ideas?
In addition i have now also discovered by full beam doesnt work, no warnings to say this and blue light comes on dash when trying to use them but not coming on.
Any help would be appreciated.
Cheers

That yellow disconnected wire looks like it may be Airbag side, so be very careful!!!
What is the history of vehicle?

These check engine warnings need resetting. Somtimes thats all that is required. Particularly if it been worked on before hand.

What specific codes are showing.

ABS is unlikely to cause check engine warnings. All does not sound as if its as it looks on this occasion.

Thanks for the replies.
So current warnings on dash are...
Stop Start unavailable .... check engine ...
The history - had a bump on the front about 3 years ago, but nothing with these issues until last 2-3 months.

@The Panda Nut
@bugsymike
So they may be unrelated to your current problem, however if that yellow thick wire is Airbag related be very careful, it does sound like the accident repair may have been a little sus, possibly.:(
By the way how good a diagnostic tool used to read error codes?

Stop start unavilable sounds like battery may be at the bottom of it. Check backandcsearch on stop start in the 500 and Panda forums as theres ben a great post this year on this which may help you. I think that related to the clutch switch among other things.
I find there are many odd wires just hanging about. May be best not to waste time on this. Other countries / different specs use them.
