Guys,

I am replacing the brake pads on my 'M' reg 94/95 Panda at the weekend. I have ordered these ones but I am not convinced they are going to fit:
http://www.brakeworld.co.uk/brakeworld/buyguide/html/bw338.htm

With my work this week, I am not going to have time to take off my wheels to check this week - what do you guys think? (Jon, you will know)

As ever, many thanks.

MARTIN

These are the old ones from mine, had them under my bed, knew they'd be usefull at some point!

Available from euro car parts. item no 101 58 0095, cost about £11 from memory, for a box of 4

Manufacturer (ATE) part no 603939

Seem to do the job fine for me after bedding in.

I orignally bought some the shape you first listed, no way they would fit

Craig

all pandas had the same pads except for the selecta's which has slightly larger brakes the pads shown in the link in panda1408's post are the right ones for your car mate(y)
That's selecta brakes...(as far as I know only Selecta has different brakes in UK....but maybe latest Pandas (98-2003) had them as well)

Ahh, I had forgotten about the Selecta.

Lol.

Slightly OT, are the Selecta callipers different to the rest of Panda's

Got a crap memory and never done brakes myself personally, but they looked different to remove compaired to other Panda's.

Probably just me though

Jon.

Pretty sure the ones we have posted will be right, all Pandas had the same front brakes I think.

Agreed, I was surprised when the ones I ordered turned up. To be fair, I thought I had ordered the right ones - sometimes you get a 'general' picture on the listing and it did say they were for a Panda 1000 1991 - 1995.

Never mind, you live and learn.

Look different to me, there is a tab on top of the pad which manuals dont have isn't there. Manuals dont have the thing on the top of the caliper bracket either (where the rubber boot is, dont know what it is )

Rubber boot compresses to allow the two pads to compress together with the disk. (y)

think the manual ones only "push" from on side, only one piston in the caliper, on the inside, pad just sits in place on the outer side from what i remember

Tech speaking, manuals have 1pot and selectas have 2pot calipers

So how do both pads move on and off of the disk on Manual panda's then

I went to remove the calipers and holder from dad's wrecked Selecta and got the calipers off but when it came to the caliper holder it was a no goer. Was actually easier to remove the whole legs :p

When the piston pushes on the pad on the inside it pulls the other side into the disc aswell.

When you say you couldn't get the caliper holders off I presume you mean the bolts were seized in? I had to use a scafolding bar on the socket set to get them off.
