Hi

Think I've got a brake pad sensor fault - not a mechanic but I do know how to change the pads etc...

Took the NSF tyre off and as far as I can see the sensor cable for the discs is completely snapped - would this cause the random flickering and occasional warning beeps that I'm getting - which occur more frequently when driving over some of our more challenging (ie more potholed!) roads around here.

I've had a look at a couple of other threads regarding this issue, and it would appear to be the same thing. The pads don't look worn at all (they've done less than 5K) so really don't think it's related to wear...

Any hints/tips would be great...Thanks! (y)

Brake pad wear sensor cable is single core, with a braided sheath to give it some flexibility and strength.
You need to join the ends, solder and shrink-wrap tape would be best.
However, at the end of the day, it's got to be able to conduct electricity and not foul any suspension/steering bits so whatever works for you.
