How long should it take to change the brake fluid on a new Ulysse, I got charge 1.22 hours. This seems a lot for a brake fluid change, I am sure I could do it in 30 minutes easily.

Guessing you were charged for 1 hours labour as two mechanics did the job in 1/2 hour? or the mech had to stop for a cup of tea and biscuit :D

Mechanics follow the rule of doubles. The client is always charged twice as long as the work actually takes.

I have this on good authority...from a pro spanner wielder no less :D

But even on a system that was breached and contains no fluid, the whole op should take no longer than 45 mins...as most parts are accessible without having to rip the wheels off

Not true actually or at least shouldn't be.Simple solution is to ask to see the job card and you will see the time ticket on the back!

Time for brake fluid change is 0.5hrs (30mins)

Don't Fiat have set times for operations, I checked and it was 1.22 hours for brake fluid change at £67.10.

I will e-mail them and ask about it.

Poggy there probably is a set time on Temparo for fluid changes,I have only ever known in the garages I have worked at that customer gets charged 0.5 which is ok on some cars but hard to achieve this time on others!

Well IIRC Fiat's service labour rate is circa £50 p/hr...so that'd tally up
