Can you make an external hard drive bootable, in the same way you can make a usb-datastick bootable?

Yeah I'd imagine so, I built an external USB HDD and I have a boot backup on it incase the C: Drive stuffs up, have never tested it though.

best to test things.. no good having a good backup if you cant restore from it!
