Ok so bit of an odd one sometimes my boot won't open other times it will, checked fuse had new mechanism etc. but the really odd thing is when I press the handle my winder wiper moves

The two most important things are to disconnect the battery negative terminal quick release before trying to inspect the wiring, and don't open the hatch again until the wiring has been properly checked.

To inspect the wiring once the battery is isolated, open the hatch from the inside using the emergency release.

If the wiring is faulty, there is a significant risk of collateral damage to other electronic components on the car if you open the hatch with the battery connected.

No damage to any wires from front to back

You need to peel back the rubber gaiter and then remove the cloth type insulation which can be a bit tricky, it's not a quick check, how old is the car anything over 7 years and it will be the fault jk referenced
