Hi all - my 2nd question related to the 2009 500C Pop I just bought. The boot does not open other than manually from the inside. When I pull the handle on the outside, nothing happens when the roof is fully retracted. The roof itself opens fully, but takes 4 presses of the open button to get fully opened and I want to say you have to hold your finger down on the button to have the motor do anything. I tried the roof reset procedure but that does not appear to have changed anything.

I have Multiecuscan so planned to plug that in first, but I am guessing that won't show anything up. And I am guessing this is not a problem with the handle on the outside of the boot as if that were the case, it would make no difference to the roof opening with 4 presses.

Any thoughts on where to start?

Partly... The boot handle was a problem. I took it to pieces (difficult) and got the lever to move smoothly to operate the microswitch. I think a common problem is that they rust and don't move. Now the boot opens. But the roof is still temperamental. And the remote central locking doesn't work. I think it might be the body control ECU, but it's a cheap car and I don't want to spend too much money.
