Hi I’m hopeful that somebody may have come across this problem and be able to offer help.

We have bought a Fiat 500c for my daughter to learn to drive in, it’s a 2011 twin air model.

The roof won’t retract all the way down and is usually non responsive.

If the battery is disconnected & then reconnected I have managed to get it moving, but it goes back to the point where it takes the window down, it then needs the button pressing again to take the back window down, but then when you want to take the roof back up it will start but only goes so far up and then takes the roof back down.

It then stops working and is unresponsive when you press the buttons.

When moving the roof moves freely without any restrictions.

If I use manually close it past this position it will then close, but you can hear it wanting to take the roof beyond the closed position.

When it won’t open, the boot won’t open either.

I’ve tried the reset procedure with holding the buttons but that doesn’t work.

I’ve replaced the boot wiring and made sure the connections to the roof ecu are good. I’ve had the blue and me module removed and repaired along with a proxy alignment. I’ve replaced the ground connection (which fixed several warning lights the car was throwing up) and I’ve changed the battery.

Hopefully somebody has come across this before and can help?

I have multiecu scanner but that doesn’t seem to have any reset for the roof or roof module?

Thanks
