Styling Bodykit advice

He did get plenty of advice from various people!!

If comments really weren't wanted on the specific bodykit, why tell everyone what one you bought?! Would you prefer a whole new thread started by someone else, where they had the intention of slagging off the afrementioned bodykit?

Anyway, as you say, the OP probably doesn't care what everyone thinks and good on him for that. He'll have an unusual GP that he loves. However, others do have the right express and debate their opinions if they wish. Be a bloody boring forum if you got a load of yes/no answers to questions in threads, would it not?

I never said that he didnt get plenty of advice.

Why should he not post the bodykit he is getting? Wouldnt prefer any thread slagging the kit off as it isnt really needed or wanted. But if you feel so strongly about it then by all means go for it.

Wouldnt be a boring forum as what i said wasnt a general comment that should be applied to every thread it was a specific comment towards this one. And yes people do have the right to express their opinions but whats the point when its irrelivant to the post/thread/question?

Applying your logic, Matt, the bodykit isn't really very relevant to the purpose of the thread and to whether he's got to pay out any more money either! And actually, I would have moved this thread over to the Leisure Lounge anyway - buying advice and not model specific :)

That's known as conversation... Isn't that what a forum's for

I don't think he really gives a f*ck if any of you agree with his opinion on the front of the car or his decision to buy a body kit. He is asking for advice on where he stands with regards to his purchase, so if you don't know the answer then why bother posting in the first place to tell him something he doesn't want to hear. Just spamming. Why do any of you care if he devalues HIS car? Its got jack to do with any of you and your not going to loose anything on it.

Stop trying to be a smart arse and talking down to me like im some inept uneducated prick. And its not a conversation.

So this isn't spam

grandes front end is'nt ugly, could be alot worse could be an punto evo lol

yer they shouldnt be able to argue with it tbh

Your telling me Merkur kits look better :nutter:

IMO the GP should be left alone. And you will severely de-value your car. Of you don't like it I'm not sure why you would buy it, I would rather buy used than a new one if I didn't like it.

the front end is the best part of the punto in my opinion, have you got a link so we can see this body kit ?

Thanks for that though! I don't see the attraction... And that's being polite :p

completely agree it has to be OEM all the way for me.

What about the fiat range of bodykits like the air dam front and rear. I personally think adding aftermarket will de-value your car. You've got to think of what the next person who drives your car will think with an aftermarket bodykit on, thats my opinion only though.

All of that is spam.

Now my posts wouldnt of been needed if all you lot werent telling him what he didnt ask about in the first place would it? Nor would it of been needed if garree01 hadnt tried to be clever.

Also, if you weren't being such a petty so-and-so, I'd have happily remained shut up :) Now can we all just go about our own business, I'll keep (supposedly) SPAMming, the OP can get his bodykit situation sorted, Matt can keep us all in check and we're all happy! (y)

You can't say you don't do it to others threads though. I will leave it at that.

Never said i dont.

i do think the merkur kit looks better and i want a different gp, not all of us just want eibach sportlines and gsr inductions kits like everyone else here.

i bought it because it had every other aspect of the kind of car i was looking for and won against the competition, i just feel the front end is horrible, why did any here buy the car and then modify it?

de-valueing? have you seen my members thread the car has enough done to it to 'de-value' it, but to the right person who notices how well its kept its not de-valued just simply different.

i bought new because i wanted a car that i knew hadnt been ragged around and poorly serviced and the price i got it at was the price of a second hand gp

i have considered the fiat range i just prefer the merkur kit, the next person who drives it would notice its been looked after and done properly against a k'n filter and abarth badges.

thanks matt (y)

just trying to get some help and let people know my experience with abs motorsport, if i had previously read a thread similar i would think of going elsewhere, anyway he just put threw the refund in the end so it doesnt matter now.

If/when you get the kit you want on there, I'd be intrigued to see how it looks and how the job went. I'm sure all of us appreciate when a job has been well done, even if the finished product isn't what we'd personally go for.

Good luck with the mods and keep us posted (y)

as i said in my previous post he refunded my paypal payment already, i wont be going back there

its a shame because the merkur kit is the only one i really like :( along with the kit i was going to do a fair few other body work things too door poppers etc. but i wont be doing that unless i find a nice bodykit

i guess the fiat bumper smoothed in might look okay but id rather get one i love otherwise its wasted money!

Wow, there are some feisty people on here aren't there ! note to self, must remember in future not to ask silly questions out of curiosity.

Shame the kit didn't work out for you, it's all horses for courses ain't it and it's your motor at the end of the day, if you like it do it (y)
