I think u can get cables from www.nexxia.co.uk or .com

Which kit did you get?? I am thinking of geting the SE one where you can have 5 phone profiles.

How did you get behind the console of you Stilo???

Not comfortable with pulling mine apart without some instructions (y)

I have a professional Nokia Car Kit fitted (not bluetooth) and the engineer said that the radio on the Stilo doesn't have a phone mute function on the back. They way around it was to have the radio cut out everytime the phone rings. The sound still comes through the speakers and when the phone call finishes the radio comes back on.

I'm not a sparky so don't fully understand but he did talk about splicing the wires.

All it probably means is that the stereo won't display phone or mute in the display. But just had a look at the nexxia site and they do the kit for the muting specifically for Stilo's.

He probably didn't have this, as it correct connectors. That is why he had to make do and splice the wires.

Hi Guys

I have a Nokia CK-7W bluetooth/wired carkit in my Stilo, which I fitted myself. It replaced an earlier Nokia kit (CARK-126) and both of them muted the radio when a call was placed or received. I have the radio mute cable on the carkit connected to the Phone Mute pin on the back of the radio. When the phone rings, the radio mutes & displays "Phone" on the display.

I will have a look in the manual to confirm which pin it is on the back of the radio, but if I remember correctly, its C6...

Where did you put the display unit...can't seem to find a place where it will look good!??! :(

Sorry to drag up an old thread on my first post

Has anyone installed the SE HCB-300 into their Stilo? (Vimto2000?)

Were there any unexpected issues, especially if you installed it with the HCE-16 mute cable? Where did you put the bluetooth controller on the dash?

Thanks for any assistance.

I just Bluetoothed mine through the Sony head unit I have installed not the standard Stilo one.
The only problem was finding a switched live, I used the cigi lighter power supply.

Looks great and works a treat, I fitted the blue tooth unit behind the upper glove box sleeve, the only part visable is the display which is fitted below the Headunit no visible wires.

yes i have fitted the hcb-300, i bought my own mute lead (blaupunkt mute lead from bluespot.co.uk). the controller is placed on the right of the centre console near to the heater switches

HCB 300 is a great piece of kit. Useful to have all the profiles you can just toggle between - my phone, wifes etc.

Mutes radio but doesn't change display on head unit or pause CD, only mutes it.

Otis.

Ok, got the HCB-300 (with Advanced Mute Cable) installed at the weekend. Fantastic car kit, its so much better to have the sound looped through the speakers and the mic pick up is excellent, no echo at all.

The HCE-16 mute cable is great, mutes the radio or pauses the CD when you make/receive a call.

Colour coded pairing of mobiles couldn't be easier, I'm blue and the missus is red...
