Doe's anyone know if Fiat have a Blue & Me system out which supports A2DP or if they are planning an update. I've asked my dealer but they still have trouble beliving the Blue & Me in my 1.9 Sporting supports text reading even with the manual in front of them.

Have searched Microsoft but have found nothing to say they even produced the system.

It's took a year to convice my dealer it should read out my texts and finely goes in for an update next week, if it could support A2DP as well I'd be :slayer:well happy!!!

Last year I had a Sony K800i, then a Samsung G600. nither worked I've now got a Sony K850i.
But apparently it's not all to do with ya phone, if you search this fourm (as i wish i had done last year) You'll find a links to Fiat.com where you can download an update for your system.
Ive spent over a year pestering my dealer and seaching and posting on the Fiat.co.uk fourm, but all they ever said was contact your dealer. Unfourtunatly although my dealers full of nice enough staff it is only in the last few weeks when Ive poped in to get a lose seatbelt housing fixed. that a new worker on serviceing has took me seriously. before that they thought I was mad!! First service I literlly had a mechinac and service rep telling me its impossible for anything to read your text messages, when I (almost) calmly walked over to the showroom and returned with a Blue & Me manual they said they would look into it but it was proberly a misprint on a function that never saw the light of day! I told them there was others on Fiat.com who had the same phone and car as me who could get there messages read but..........**** am ranting and moaning like a bitch. Any way yes it can read your text messages and all you need to do is convice your dealer or download. good luck

the txt reader file is available I downloaded it to my 500 from the Fiat site and the link has been posted in this forum. It only works with certain phones mostly Sony Erricson.

As for streaming the answer to that is no, I have seen that question a couple of times and no one can do it. Whether its something that will be upgraded who knows !! If enough people ask for it and other manufacturers offer it maybe.

I installed it but my phone dont work with it thought it might as its a smart phone with windows mobile on it but never mind sure it will be compatible in furture updates

Buongiorno all,
I was wondering if anyone could definitely tell me if Blue&Me and Blue&Me Nav currently (as of January 2009) offers Bluetooth A2DP streaming music. The A2DP profile is specific to streaming music and is gaining a lot of popularity around the world, however Fiat doesn't mention it anywhere on their site or in Blue&Me specs. There hasn't been any mention of it being added in any Blue&Me updates either, and I think that would be a great addition to the B&M platform.

If anyone knows for certain if it is included or not, please reply here for the benefit of all, and please send me a PM also. Thanks for the help FiatForum!

Blue&Me currently doesn't support Bluetooth music streaming. A software update could simply add this great feature, but Fiat doesn't offer any update at all. (n)

Any news about this? For me not the music streaming is important, my Mobile Phone is also a GPS (SE G705) and plays the navigation directions through A2DP streaming. The same with TOMTOM Navs.
It cannot be that FIAT is not able to upgrade its Blue&Me to be capable of A2DP! They had updates like Ecodrive, SMS Reader and so on, but why not for this simple thing A2DP?

In my last car, this was all simple, it had a own ISO Blaupunkt HU (not shipped with Car) with the Blaupunkt Bluetooth Adaptor and everything worked great. The Blaupunkt Adaptor was on the CD Changer Input and the Phone Input of the HU and I was able to phone via Handset profile and play music from my mobile phone via A2DP. And the best: I was even able to remote control the mobile phone's music player using the play/pause/skip keys on my car audio (AVRCP bluetooth profile was also supported). For Blue&Me, this would be really good.

If this would not work, is there any other possibility to plug in the Earphone output of the Phone to the grande puntos Blaupunkt Headunit (CD Changer or AUX input or something like that?). I already have a Phone Holder in my GP that is charging the phone when ignition switched on, so I could add the audio cable, too.

Absolutely infuriating, just spent £50 on tomtom app for my phone because my friend has it in his car and it works great. Only to find out blue & me doesn't support basic A2DP. ridiculous.

thats not my point, and a rather predictable troll tbh. My point is it SHOULD and with a simple software update it COULD.

Wow, no need for the troll comment. Im trying to be helpful. It's no secret, if you had have done the research properly you would have found that out.

Why do you need it? If it had it, all you would do is moan that you couldn't play music at the same time as using sat-nav, or answer a phone call?
