Blue&Me + SE C905

Updated it there and its now works 100% with the 905! all the features :D

You mean all the features work, so like hearing your ringtone, and read sms messages... ?! :)

Rosshutchie, can you tell me if you can hear the navigation voice from the phone on the car's speakers?

I'm almost at the point to order the 905, just need some details!!

Not 100% about the navigation or the ringtone, but yeah the SMS reader works. Worked before the update. Displays the contacts name, and also asks if you want it to read the text or not. Kind of handy if you dont want your passenger to hear :D

I shall see if the ringtone works. Do you mean the built in Wayfinder in the phone? Ill try that later also (y). Is it supposed to stream the sound from the Sat nav?

Hi rosshutchie,

Thanks for the updates! (y)

I was curious if the Navigation programme, Wayfinder on the C905, will let you hear the navigation instructions true/on the cars speakers. ....it's not a must , but I think it would be great.

Have fun with your C905 + BM. :yum:

Wouter: it's not possible to hear the navigation trough your car speakers.

The reason you hear the sms is that the phone is using the 'sms push' bluetooth function. The car has a build in 'reciever' for this type of bluetooth and reads it with microsoft technology so you can hear it.
Navigation cannot be send trough bluetooth, like that.

You should have bought the blue&me nav. It's not that expensive and got me trough al of Europe last summer :)

*edit*
Maybe it's possible by using the Transfer Audio function in the C905.. i will check this out.
Btw, you've got PM. Spreek je later

Just wanted to jump on the thread and say the update has worked with my C905. Text message reader, phonebook and calls (incoming and outgoing) all work perfectly! The software version I have is R1DA032. To get the update either navigate to the update service within the phone (Settings>General>Update Service) or use the Update Service on the disc that came with the phone, or download from sony ericsson.

im glad i have just took the time to actually read this, due to the face i have had to use wired hands free :( which it fcuked up when you have a car with the blue and me facility. im just about to try and update my c905 and see if it works in the morning :D

I just bought a C905, good to know that it will actually work properly now :) However, I've tried downloading the update directly through my phone and it won't let me! Any idea why it would be doing that?

The trouble with using the update facility within the phone and also the SE software update application will only upgrade to the latest version supplied by your network provider.

If you want to force an upgrade you'll have to upgrade using Da Vinci or WotanServer - the latter worked better for me.

Good luck!

Your best bet would be to either go to Update Service software that came with your phone and follow the instructions, or alternatively navigate to the Update Service within your phone's settings menu.

Whats everyones opinion on this phone?

It looks great on paper and Im really tempted (dont think I can be @rsed with a touch phone), but I have my reservations about the build quality. In general are they pretty reliable?

Thanks in advance.

Evening all:)

I know I now have an Alfa but here goes;)

I've just got a new c905 upgrade on O2 and it seems to do everything except be able to answer calls from the steering wheel controls(n)

The current version of the software reads:-

1205-9079 R1DA032 090204 and the SE site says it has the latest firmware.

No You Tube but smile shutter:(

Any ideas as what to do now?

PS. Call quality is fine and now my message reader works(y)

Cheers,

Our pair of W595s behave the same. Call quality is now fine but answering using the steering wheel is hit and miss (mostly miss). Seems to be that when you fix one problem, you unknowingly introduce another.

I'm the same as you, I updated the software using the SE update programme. The crackeling reception has gone but it's hit and miss answering calls. Ended up answering calls by pressing the button on the phone then taking through the Blue&Me....

Hi All,

I bought a used '08 Fiat 500 1.2 Lounge a month ago. :)
Since then I managed to cure all faults regarding to C905 compatibility with Blue&Me. Thanks for the FIAT Forum for all the help! :worship:

Upgrading my phone and upgrading B&M in my car solved all the problems.

Now the Fiat 500 runs Blue&Me version 5.5.
My SE C905 has the upgrade 1208-0485, R1EA033, (090512)

The mentioned problems like weird noise during call, not functioning answering button on wheel, phone lagging during bluetooth connection, have all disappeared. Now fast connection, message reader, and nice voice quality makes me happy day by day! (y)
