Blue & Me problems!

Hi Guys,

I have a 1.9 sporting with the blue and me.

The first problem i have with it is that if i leave my usb memory stick in without taking it out for about 2 or 3 days, when i go into 'folders' or 'artists' it says no media found. (although it would be been fine the day before). But it will play music from the 'Play anything' file.
It seems to be fine if i take it out and reconnect it with my computer then disconnect it again and put it back in the car, but after a few days it does it all over again!

The second problem i find is that i cannot fast forward or rewind tracks when listening to 'media' via my usb.

And finally the third problem i find is that it just keeps on restarting the track i have been listening to and dosn't automatically go on to the next track, (i have to manually do this using my steering wheels controls)

I have resorted back to using the cd player and filling my car up with cd's, as it annoys me so much, this kinda defeats the object of having the blue and me system.

Has anyone else had these problems and can they be sorted out?

I was told by a dealer that you shoud take the usb stick out when not in use as it can frazzle the electronics if its left in all the time. Dosnt answer your question though sorry!

Can't be sure about Jim Bobs claim, I would be pretty damn annoyed if my electrics were frazzled because of a memory stick! I leave mine in all the time and it seems ok, apart from it auto starts as soon as I switch the engine on but that isn't a biggy. As for your problem Dunc, can't be sure, have you tried formatting your stick and starting again? Are you using a folder structure?

As for the fast forwarding bit, can it even do that? Mine doesn't when on media, fine on a CD but maybe not a feature when reading from usb.

And regarding the next track bit, are you sure you haven't accidently set it on loop? I have accidently done it a couple of times, need to go to settings I think and deselect.

lol just press voice and say "loop off" the nice lady will sort the settings out for ya

Same problems, but if u remove the usb, and plug in a different stick and then return back to the original it rebuilds the library, and also remove the stick leaving the engine off for a while bofore plugging back in also seems to do it. Problems seems worse now i have ecodrive installed. My biggest problem is the silly woman never understands me saying yes, or yeah and so i can never dial out without ending up in a swearing match with Mrs Blue&Me
