Hi,
I appreciate there must be a lot of discussions like this but bear with me as I am not sure if my Blue&Me system has developed a fault.
I had my brand new Fiat Punto nearly 3 weeks ago now. When I got it I managed to hook up my old iPod Mini and the car was finding the iPod and playing my music with no problems at all. However, on Sunday I added some new tracks to the iPod (only about a dozen songs) and now the system won't play anything correctly. I sat in the garage last night and watched what was happening. I can see the iPod trying to sync with the system (can see the turning circle icon in the top l/h corner of my iPod) and the system will try to play a song. After about 10/15 seconds though the song freezes and the whole system freezes up. After 30 secs or so it all comes back to life and the same thing happens. If you try to cycle through the songs as soon as the first one starts you get maybe a choice of 3 but that, I would imagine, is due to the system not uploading the whole library?
So, I decide to try a USB stick. I have 2 sticks - a 128MB stick and a 2GB stick. I cannot get the system to detect the 2GB one at all. I have copied about 10 songs onto the 128MB stick and got the system to play some of them. However, if I fill it up (which isn't a great deal of music to be fair) the system cannot detect the pen drive. I have checked the formatting of the pen drives (tried both FAT and FAT32 and neither play)
I also tried to burn up a mp3 disk but the CD player says "CD Error" on that. However, that may be me being a numptie and doing something wrong (can't think what though) rather than a problem with the system!!
Can anyone help me out or give any suggestions with this? Thanks
