Just trying to get to grips with Blue & Me on our new Grande Punto. As Apple users our MP3 files are in m4a format which I now see from the vehicle documentation is not supported on Blue & Me. Is there any workaround? Help would be appreciated, thanks Nick

Hi Nick,

I've just written a blog about all this. You can see it here:

Hope some of it helps.

Ben :)

Software - the update to version 5.4 has introduced AAC compatible playback (including DRM for those of you not wanting to pay the 20p per track “upgrade”), so at the very least you can now skip the whole MP3 bit and plug your USB stick straight in.

Er...are you sure about this?

From what I understand, playback of AAC tracks is only possible when using the new USB adaptor in conjunction with an iPod/iPhone, as the music is then played(/decoded) on the iPod/iPhone, rather than via the B&M system. Hence why protected tracks are playable.

You're right - I've updated accordingly - I think it was wishful thinking... it sounds like it should do that doesn't it... ;)

Cheers for the heads up Rob - I super appreciate it.

Ben
