Waiting on a September for my new Bravo Dynamic 1.4 T-jet 120.

While I wait I have been looking at information on the Blue and me system. (which appears to be very limited) I have the Blue and me leaflet from fiat (this is not much clearer as to where it is available and if its extra or not)

This is what I think I have found can you please confirm the following.

1) Blue and me Map is only on the 500 and is an additional dash mounted unit.

2) Blue and me NAV is an integrated system with no additional parts (only shows the route instructions on the driver display) and is only available on the Bravo

3) Both system are available in the UK

What I would also like to know (but can't find the answer too) is.

I have got Blue and Me on my new bravo but will the blue and me nav be a standard part of it or would I need to have specified it when I ordered the car?

If NAV is not standard can my blue and me be upgraded later?

On the 500 you have Blue & Me as the audio and thelephony handsfree system. Above that as an extra you can order:
1) Blue en Me NAV the 'inbuilt navigation system'
or
2) the Blue en Me MAP

I have now had some comunication with Fiat.

By phone where I spoke to someone who did not sound like he knew what he was talking about but said it was an optional extra.

Please wait while we find an agent to assist you...
You have been connected to Kenny M.
Matthew Bloxwich: Hello
Kenny M: Good afternoon Matthew welcome to Fiat, my name is Kenny. I understand that you have a query, how can I help?
Matthew Bloxwich: I have just ordered a bravo Dynamic 1.4 t-jet
Matthew Bloxwich: I have seen some information on blue and me NAV does this model come with the NAV part as standard
Kenny M: Yes it does Mathew.
Matthew Bloxwich: Thank you for that. There seems to be verry limited information on the web and no mention on the Fiat website that it is standard. I would have thought that this was a good selling point.
Kenny M: Is there anything else I can help you with?
Matthew Bloxwich: No that is all. Thanks again for the clarification
Kenny M: Thank you for contacting Fiat today, please feel free to come back again.
Matthew Bloxwich: will do

So now think I will get it as standard can anybody clarify this.

Sorry it is a bit wordy but thought it was relevant.

1) Blue and me Map is only on the 500 and is an additional dash mounted unit.
It's also an option for the GP now. I think it doesn't work with the Bravo yet. It's a seperate GPS NAV Unit. It can be ordered with a windscreen holder or in the 500 with a factory installed port on the dashboard. You will need an extra software upgrade to make the unit work with Blue and Me.

2) Blue and me NAV is an integrated system with no additional parts (only shows the route instructions on the driver display) and is only available on the Bravo
It's is also available for the GP and the 500.

3) Both system are available in the UK

UK/Ireland maps are available, so I guess yes, both system are available in the UK.

What I would also like to know (but can't find the answer too) is.

Blue and Me NAV is an extra option. In some models Blue and Me (and in some countries) comes as standard. Not in my country though, I don't know about UK.

If NAV is not standard can my blue and me be upgraded later?
No, it needs to be factory installed.

Can anybody clarify the UK position. I know they are not the most popular car but someone must have brought one in the last 6 months.

So, I have a Fiat Blue&Me brochure here and I've read through it, and what it says I have written up here:

benbufton.com/fiat500/

I hope this helps (and as always, if anybody has a different experience, please let me know...) :)

Ben

Nice website.

Sadly it still only states what I find in several other places. (Blue&Me Nav is a built in SatNav system which is currently only available on the Bravo)

I think I know it is only avaliable on the Bravo (or maybe GP and 500 as well see GXBox post)

But is it standard or an option on the bravo dynamic?

Nobody seem to know. Even different people Fiat customer support don't seem to be sure (some say "YES" some say "NO")

Finaly got a responce by email after 8 days (there website says 1 working day)

Guess what? Still none the wiser!!!!

Email goes in to great detail about needing to request Blue and me nav from the factory. Then states some dealers might be able to retrofit it and to ring some and ask. (So the answers is:- YES but NO)

But no answer to the main part of the question.

"I have orderd a bravo 1.4 t-jet 120 dynamic with the blue and me. Is blue and me nav a standard part of this or do I need to request it seperatly"

I know some of you have the NAV option so can you tell me if it was standard or if you had to request it as an option?
