I should be keeping my Multijet at least a couple more years but a bit of money has been burning a hole in my pocket.
The 500 sport 95 Multijet was great to drive but the noise inside was ridiculous, and the Grand Punto's were also loud.
I wanted diesel particularly and the Fiesta's were too low, so I tried a Corsa d 1.7 cdti SRI, 130hp, really nice to drive but the 17 inch wheels and the huge doors made me try the SE five door with 16 inch wheels.
I have bought an SE model, same power, more than enough for me.

I will be selling the Panda privately, may try the forum classifieds, someone will be getting a nice car.
I will stay a member as after ten years Pandering, I can still contribute a little.

Good luck with the new motor. We've just had 3 days in Northern Mallorca in a 1.5D Renault Clio. I'm not really a diesel fan and that hasn't changed, but I do understand the logic.

GOOD POINTS
450 kilometres on 20 litres of fuel. Staggering.
Nice and torquey without the Tarmac shredding on the SEAT diesels
Fair handling/comfort in general
Excellent satnav/location

BAD POINTS
Pig ugly and far too wide
Woeful rear vision
Dangerous amounts of understeer when past half-lock. Bizarre.
More creaks than a 1970s Doctor Who set
The door speaks actually boldly say "Bass reflex" on them. Just like in the
1980s.

I've got til April 20 before the insurance runs out, so the Panda will have it's winter wheels fitted soon. Before selling it it will have a service and MOT.
The*Corsa insurance is £100 more than the Fiat from LV but I cant complain as it is a group 16 car.
I looked at a Clio earlier, from what you say,*I'm glad I only looked.

Hi Dave, if you are interested, then do a search of my posts on the forum to get an idea of what my car is like.
I wouldn't mind making a list of the things that I would have liked to do to the car if I was going to keep it.

I've tried to send you a PM but can only find your personal page.

I'm looking for another job and going on interviews. So far they have all been a considerable distance away. If that happens I will stay away for the week and travel home at weekends. The bike (BMW 1200) is great but hard work on motorways and needs a lot of maintenance compared to a car.

Well its not my favorite car but I drove about 400000 miles in company Vauxhalls and I can say the build quality is 1st rate so I am sure you will get value for money - apart from the speeding tickets that will follow unless you are very careful!Good luck with it.

I've looked through the list of members and cannot find any Dave Mc T, which is a mystery.
If you read this, Dave, I*assume that you are aware that I live in Weston*Super Mare in Somerset.
