Blowing my Fuse!

Hi Guys

Haven't been on this forum for donkeys years so hello again, I'm in need of some advice!

I'm in the process of getting my bravo back into tip top condition as I am looking to sell in the next months or so. There are a couple of niggly little things that I need to sort out one of which is the lack of power to the central locking.

I stuck my nose in the fusebox underneath the instrument panel but could see nothing a miss. I then had a look in the fusebox above the glovebox but alas I couldn't find anything!! Am i being thick or is there supposed to be a fusebox between the two yellow cubes above the glovebox? I have a 1996 1.6 16v.

Any help would be very much appreciated!

anybody know anything about this? I have a photo of the prob - but don't know how to upload the photo onto the site!!!!!

Re: Re: Blowing my Fuse!

I think one of the yellow cubes is the control box for the central locking. It may just be a bad connection between the pins and the socket. Its probably worth pulling the yellow boxes out and reinserting. This may be enough to clean the contacts and start things moving again.

I don't know of any fuses over that side. The Haynes manual should tell you which fuse applies to the central locking. You may have to chase the circuit diagram.

Thanks for that Nick - will check it out. A bloody garage nicked my Bravo Haynes manual from the car, time to name and shame them - Clifford Cox Engineering in Reading - Give it back!
