Having scratched my head cos of a clutch on the floor; I HAVE FINALLY GOT TO GRIPS WITH BLEEDING IT; the top nipple is important so dont ignore it, you cant pump it like the brakes or you will have air in it forever. Instead, undo the bottom nipple by pulling out the clip and pull the pipe off the slave cylander a bit, then put your mouth over the mouth of the resevoir and blow, till the fluid runs out clear. If there is still air in the system, slacken the top nopple with an 8 mm ring spanner, and using an old fashioned pump type oïl can filleed with fluid, pump fluid into the open bottom nipple untill clear fluid comes out at the top. Having done this I found out that the thrust bearing was broken up, so replaced the whole clutch, a procvess that I can only describe as nearly impossible, but after 4 days wrestling it is done, I only hope the new one lasts 150k like the old one did! Boy, did I swear, everything is inacessable ! I had do take literalloy everything off, including the cross member, I was happily able to use a 4 poster, completely impossible otherwise, and in my darkest hour I actually hated the multipla; but now have a rosey glow as I can engage reverse for the rirst time in 4 years without grinding the teeth off, first is still **** thoughy.
