Technical Bleeding brakes and clutch

Hi all, I have a Fiat x19 which I recently removed the pedal box from, the reason being when I pushed clutch and brake pedal down together brake pedal woudnt return to normal position until I took my foot off the clutch, I think Ive fixed that problem but now I cant seem to bleed either of the systems, both resovoires are topped up with fluid and Ive opened one of the bleed nipples on front caliper and pumped but nothing comes out! to me it seems that neither of the master cylinders are getting any fluid, any help with this problem would be greatly appreciated, Maurice from New Zealand
