General Blaupunkt Problem

I had this Thread in another section, but was not getting much views. So I hope I'm ok to repost this.

I have two Blaupunkt CD Players and I have problems with both!!

First one is a Modena CD50, it sounds fine but the display isn't working and I don't know how to fix it.

Second is a Seattle RDM 169, Radio sounds good, display is fine but it won't take a CD.

ANY SUGGESTIONS!

Its probably all there is.

Yeah it is hard to find repair information. I dont want to be spending money on enigneers so will look for another CD player.

Thanks WhiteSei but Im happy with sound and radio on the one I have it was just the display issue.

I have the standard Punto CD changer type. The display has missing lines but is usable sadly the CD changer/player doesn't change or play. Both seem to be "standard" problems.

Does the fasica come off the 1 with display problem?

If so, check the connectors at the back, or open it u an re-seat the screen, might just be a bad connection.

Fiddle work, so you'll need patience and a steady hand

Yeah the fasica comes off but the connectors seem fine, will be trying a 3rd CD Player in the up coming week any way.

A friend has offered me his old one from his Astra.

As I said before Dave is selling one and there's ebay. Junk the broken unrepairable kit & buy something that works.
