I have got this phone and had the same problem,the way round it is as follows
1. Delete all users
2. Pair the phone as normal but when asked if you want to transfer your contacts say "no"
3. disconnect from B&M and then re connect,go to settings,add contacts,then on your phones paired devices go into B&M and then click on "transfer contacts"
4.You should hear a series of clicks as each contact is transferred to your B&M,when you have finished press the button on the steering wheel to accept,all your contacts should now be here,the only downside is you have to do this if you add contacts to tour phone.
