The Saab has been playing up an Stu's got his own toy now so I've been playing round with Sylvia over the last week sorting all them wee problems that end up gettting put to one side till they all mount up and you've got a 'juppy' problem with a car in bits and what seems like no chance of putting it all right again:eek:

Had a bit of an accident on the drive with the gearbox oil....

So we moved on to the grass (and I think I've killed most of it by spilling gearbox oil over it:eek: )

Noted the reversing light wasn't working... Took the cover off and then realized why

All that expanding filler foam that makes Sylvia soooo quiet when I'm doing the 'longhaul' had managed to get into the lights and push the bulbs out... Hence no reversing lights:eek:

Then I fitted the speedo cable....

Fitted a few new bulbs on the dash

Anyway, everything went back to together so I went off and bought a map...

...and then worked out that I've not really covered very much of it:cry:

tis a big world to cover in a little car:D

Where's the g/box oil leaking from?

Oh, I was just checking it and forgot the drive was on a slope and some ran out... Remembered that we'd filled it up with EP90 in California (cause that was all we could get our hands in in the woods) when the box was opened and thought I'd just change the oil. Got some semi syth at the local autoshop and put it in instead.

Just think how many cars in NI have never left NI

That would be most of them, lol!:D

Yeah but houses don't rust! If they did most of Italy would have collapsed into a dusty brown heap by now!!!!

i had considered using contact adhesive to stick accoustic dampening foam onto one side of that rear cavity... but i am think maybe an inflatable lilo sort of thing might be better if it comes around to inspection and welding... that expanding foam will just explode near a flame :).
