Im going to try and mate some UT discs and Brembo calipers together soon. dunno if it'll work but ill see in a few weeks:rolleyes::D

For discs and pads, standard items are good enough unless you drive very very hard

Have a quick look on ebay i got a pair of calipers for £20 shipped a few months ago. As John said you want to try and look for the calipers from later ABS model cars (commonly known as ATE spec) they have a bigger pad area than the earlier ones so are a bit more effective and give better pedal feel. as set of new discs is not that expensive so don't skimp

right. will start looking at ebay. is there any pictures anywhere with the type of calliper im looking for or are they different throughout the different cars?

and ye, new disks is probably a must :). its just the callipers that are expensive brand new. think gt disks from fiat in warrington qere 56 pound each. never aske abotu callipers. might be worth a ask?

i did this conversion on saturday and already im impressed the abs dosnt seem to interfere as much now and the stopping power is amazing.

i got front calipers of a maria 1.6 estate for 20 quid, found some goodridge hoses on ebay and disks and pads where payed for by my dad,

some pics

Ask, by all means, but I get pattern Alfa 155 disks for less than £40 a pair from my local factors!

Check the items, but these folks do new calipers (Marea 1.9 Deisel and TD inc. Weekend, part nos: BCA2468 and BCA2469 for 52.84 exc. VAT).

Thanks to J333EVO we have this

photo. Don't worry about the pads (they're the wrong ones!) or the great big spacer, it's the springs that are the giveaway.

The calipers for non-vented disks look the same (but the arms are shorter, won't take the vented disks) so if at a scrappy, try to pull them from a car where the whole assembly is still in place.

and yet again, this is why you dont use photbucket on the forum (n)

EDIT... there is non ventilated versions but check at scrappy what version i buy so i know what disks to buy. i get you. thnaks ... EDIT END :p

ok so the cars in the list do they have ventde disks? as that would be cool :p.

went to fiat on the way to work. stupidly priced and not getting genuine ones :p.

front calipers cheapest from list are punto gt. (abs) 165inc vat each.
rears 268exc vat each. so no ;p

Without serious performance mods the front upgrage is all you really need for normal road use,

if you want them now then stick a seach in on the on-line part finders or if you are even more despirate buy recon units, but, never, never, never buy new calipers from fait

Rear disc conversions are TBO not really needed for normal road use but cosmetically do look better so don't consider these untill you have 100bhp plus or the worlds sexiest wheels

atm i am only looking for the fronts as my disks are worn and would like to upgrade as they need doing anyway. and my handbrake is poor so i was looking into prices for the rear out of curiosity. mabee a future job :p.

and abarth sei wheels are the sexiest are they not? :p:p.

thanks again for your help.

what do you guys rekon to the disks. one is silver and nice, and the other has a slight bit of orange. but tbh mine look in worse nic :p

oh and abarth wheels are the sex :p
