Are there any big brake conversion out there that fit inside 15in alloys using mk1 punto gt calipers?
and also can the standard cinq master cylinder be uprated with one from an other model, think the standard cinq master cylinder will struggle to cope with anything bigger than punto gt calipers and what ever setup i end up swopping the 2wd cossie rear end set up out back for! any help well be greatly appreciated in helpin me get this beast back on track after a 2 year lay up!!

well if your using the gt callipers then 257mm vented disks are as big as the callipers allow..... and they will fit under 14"s. if you go bigger then think about coupe brakes but unsure about fitting them under 15s. and the cinq master cylinder cannot be straight swapped for any other model... only aftermarket will be made to fit.

best set up for cinq/sei is the pgt abs later callipers and disks with coupe or fiat marea weekend rear callipers and disks imo. there are no need for bigger than them as you have the power to lock the wheels at 100mph atleast.

rememper pads and disks can be upgraded too. and the mastercylinder will always have more travel unless you sort out a aftermarket one somehow

cheers clock34! i once had a r5gt turbo and i brought a big brake kit that allowed me to use 280mm disce with the standard calipers using the spacer provided ( were fantastic on track ). just wundered if there was a simler kit for the punto gtt? did the mk1 coupe not come with 15s? im not sure myself!!

the fronts are uprated disce with ferodo ds2500 trackday pads. wouldnt usually do much with the rears, but this cinq has a cosworth motor in the back puttin 320 bhp to the rear wheels. dont want the hastle of fitting a peddle box!!
