You won't like gtechniq then especially their glass cleaning and protection range ;-)

Where did autosmart pinch the treble xxx branding from? Moonshine or a special publication DVD? ;-) :-D

Try Sonax Full Effect Wheel Cleaner. It's acid free and you don't need any Iron X or something like that, because Sonax Full Effect will do this job.

Once the wheels are cleans what's gonna be the best way of keeping them clean, ie sealing or polishing etc?

Any good quality car wax will do.

For the wheels you will be better using a dedicated wheel sealant such as gtechiqie g5 (think I got the number right dombooth ) or carpro dlux these both leave a heat resistant glass like coating on the wheels see. My long term protection experiment thread

Yep, Gtechniq C5 is what you want, not the G5.

Im a big fan of VP Bilberry Wheel cleaner. Bought a big 5 litre bottle of it and used about an inch of it so far. Couple of squirts into a smaller bottle, fill with water and good to go!

Apply with make up pads
Remove excess asap
Done

Seconded. Affordable, easy to use and leaves a good finish. You're getting no complaints from me.

Don't do my alloys as often as I really should. But the odd occasions when i can be bothered, I use Mr Muscle oven cleaner.
Squirt on, get on with washing the rest of the car then wash the wheels last.
All the crap comes off really easily.
6 years on & the wheels still look OK.
