It's come to that point when i need to take care of my finances. So been working out what i send and argggghhhhh. Alltogether the HP, Insurance Petrol etc for my car costs me £260 p.m. but i go on lads night out every other weekend so thas £120p.m., outwith g/f every week so thats approx. £160p.m. when stressed pub after work approx 6 times a month £120. pint and burger at least 8 times a month £40. Thus £400 approx. p.m. is spent on going out. So what i do keep every one happy and keep going out or save that money and mod my car??????? Tough Decision!!!! HELP ME DECIDE!!!

MOD THE CAR lol ;)

Then.... when you done most of what you want... spend your money on beer and going out - Although - you never do finish modding a car lol so.... do a bank robbery.. then you could do both lol

:)

Tough Choice

Beer wins hands down. Dump the Doris, tell you mates that if they are real mates they will drink steadily EVERY night then you can spread the cost across every night of the month. Change your drink. Poof Pops are expensive and a bit passe now, lager is a load of chemicals, real ale is well...real ale, guinness will make you a right lard arse and spirits are for drinking at home.

Me.... I do booze cruises on a regular basis - like today :) in about 2 hours and stock up on 1664 and cases of wine.

A bottle of wine will cost you £5 for a semi decent gluggable bottle and is the same as four pints. If you log onto malcoml glucks web site www.superplonk.com and register (free) you will receive a weekly newsletter telling you where the bargains are so your drinking becomes even cheaper.

So there you have it - drink wine!

Re: Re: Tough Choice

I've practicaly given up drinking to do the project Bravo.

I'm confident the car will be finished for late may then I can start drinking again and putting more money away for my next motor! lol

The positive side of doing the car...

Despite not being an advocate of regular dieting, I think you should cut down on the beer - or at least go to France for it - and use the money for your project Bravo.

Thus, by the time your car is finished and the results of your new-found healthy lifesytle kick in, you will have a fantastic car and a six pack with which to impress the ladies!

as much as i love modding and modded cars and all bits and bobs that go with the modding scene its got absolutely no comparison what so ever with chilling out relaxing with a nice cold refreshing beer. examples:
bad day at work come home stress try and releive it by taking a drive with an increased chance of damaging the car due to all the stress and worrys floating around your head take a leisurely stroll to the local few pints a bit of typical pub banter to take your mind off things and you come out a new man.

the missus is giving you a hard time, you cant go go and slag her off to your new spoiler or your fat set of seventeens which you are still paying for but you can go down the local confer with the lads realise your not the only one in that position thus leaving there feeling a whole lot better

your new mods are no excuse for pulling a pig

your new mods wont give you the confidence boost needed to chat up bird

your new mods wont help you on the dancefloor

your new mods wont reassure you that you are the best looking male on the planet

beer for me every time

Re: Re: Beer or Mods

And beer is alot cheaper! i just spent £650 on some 17inch alloys! if your average pint is now about £2.50 down your local rub a dub then that equals 260 pints!!!!!!!!

LOL !

I could drink more than 250 pints in the time it would take me to earn/pay-off £650 .... :)

Do as i do.

Always drive to the pub (more because my only alternative is to walk, but that is besides the point). That way you can't drink much, but you don't want to be seen as a wus with a coke, thus you learn to make a pint last! You then have the extra cash and inclination to mod your car as your spending more time in it!

Re: Re: Beer or Mods

ok mixed reactions!!!!!

I love chilling out with my mate and i think i'll stick with that untill next jan when my car is completely paid off then ill have extra money each month for mods..best of both worlds.

cheers drinkers and modders

Re: Re: Re: Beer or Mods

Just got back from yet another beer run and 1664 is £10 in the eurotunnel terminal and its by 2 get 1 free - thats £20 for 72 500ml cans of 1664 - or 27.7p each.

Now to me, if you drink 8 cans per night that is only £2.21 or £15.50 per week which is of course ONLY £62 a month. NOW you can mod and drink on that!!!

If you or a mate smoke, you save £25 on every 200 cigs and you can bring back 3200 each - a huge saving and that means they pay for the trip. I just paid £59 but stayed overnight in Brugge - where I spent all the money I saved on a night out!
