General BBA-Reman power steering unit

A good place to get a power steering unit? Or should I pay £300 more and go to fiat?

where do fiat get their £500 unit from?

£500 is a totally new item

the link one you have there is for a recon unit, which should be fine since it has a warrenty with it, although i'd check that they are willing to pay for the fitting aswell if the unit is a dud.

fiat also sell recon units for under the £300 mark, when and where they can get them though

I have recently fitted a few BBA Reman units...2 were faulty,i'm not saying dont buy them as I have lot of dealings with them for years & they are a good company but as 'faster4_tec' said ask if they will refund fitting if faulty....still need dealer to calibrate it.

Try BBA's especially if you fit it yourself then take to Fiat to be calibrated.

suck it and see, but it would be far cheaper to flog your car, buy a mk1, live in eternal bliss, knowing pretty much every mk2 owner will be scrimping and saving for their next PAS column

try the BBA colum and fiat can calibrate it, HOWEVER if the column is then faulty, fiat can't be held for it, and you will have lost the labour money + vat as its nothing to do with them.


BEST BEST'EST option is to try and hunt a rebuilt one DONE by BBA or whoever else, but then buy it THRU fiat, that should have you covered and be a few hundred cheaper I would say.
