I have a almost new battery but now not using the van every day my van never seems to hold a charge.
if I want to use the van I now have to take the battery off.
I have taken All lights out, I cannot find why the battery is always flat.

If you have access to an ammeter, with everything switched off and keys out you could see if any drain on battery.
A rough guide is when you connect/disconnect battery is there a small spark, the trouble is these days car electronics will give a reading even when switched off, until they settle down which is why an ammeter is most accurate test.
Do you know a house electrician with a clamp on ammeter so no dismantling needed to see if drain on battery.
If battery fully charged but lead disconnected for a week or so it should hold charge no problem.
A faulty diode pack in the alternator can cause a battery drain.

Does your van have Blue&Me?

I've a Citreon nemo van and the B&M using was discharging the battery so you have to unplug it and either have it repaired or buy a second hand one or a new one (extortionate).

My battery was only about 8months old but the discharging killed it luckily the supplier replaced it under warranty and I had the B&M unit repaired for £100 including postage back and forth to the repairer.

Symptoms are flashing odometer, van doesn't start if its been sitting a few days, USB led doesn't light up and USB doesn't work and a few other symptoms but the forum has a lot of posts on B&M.

The B&M unit in my van is under the drivers seat the van is just a Fiat van but made for Citreon.

In my van it sits in a cradle under the driver seat access is pretty good two screws secure the cradle to the front of the seat and the unit is screwed into the cradle with four screws, a wee bit awkward to get them all out but I just moved the seat back and forward access to the plug is good there's a black strap thing just lift that up and then pull the plug out of the unit.

Far as I'm aware my van is basically a Fait Doblo.
