Hello, can any one give me some advice; i have a 2.2 fiat ducato 2009 motorhome can i upgrade my battery from a 90 amp hr to
a 110 amp hr..is it worth upgrading..and was it the difference...cheers...mick.

Yes you can if it will physically fit correctly and be secured down.

The ah rating is how much electricity is stored in the battery. More stored electricity means you can take more out without recharging before it goes flat.

Out of interest Are you asking about leisure battery or starter battery?

cheers...for the reply...it is for the starter battery...thank you.

The larger battery should have a higher CCA (Cold Cranking Amperes) rating, and hence facilitate cold starting. There is also the possibility of allowing more use of the ICE system without discharging the battery severely, when parked.

However some motorhomes have restrictive payloads, and the increased weight of the larger battery should be considered in this respect.
