General Battery warning at high revs...

Hey again guys, I haven’t been about in ages as ive just moved house. But im back online now and ive had an ongoing problem for a while and need some advice/help please...

Basically, when at high revs, e.g. over taking or engine braking, my battery warning light comes on, but then goes off again as soon as it gets back to semi "normal" revs. I was just wondering if A) It is bad, B) If it is, then what’s causing it and C) what ever it is causing it, how much is it to get it fixed.

either alternator belt slipping or the alternator is dying, or an alternator wire is loose

mine did this and the main cable to the rear of the alternator to battery had broken almost all the way through.

mine was the alt, it gradually got worse

Its gota be that alternator belt slipping tightening that belt up a little..should sort it out for you (Hi by the way how ya all doing)

It could be the bearings on the way out, at high speed the armature shaft is running squint allowing the brushes to loose contact.

mine did this and it was the voltage regulator inside the alternator that was gone, so replaced alternator.
