Does the battery cover really helps preventing moisture getting to the fuses and D4 connectors? I spot few cracks on mine and thinking to replace, however could not find any available in the net. Is there any particular places where I can look at? Scrapyard only?

Hi there, yes the cover is vital to stop moisture getting to those all important fuses. It has been reported on here before of people having fuse related issues because their car has at some point lost its cover (usually because of the captive nuts in the base breaking loose)
I've noticed a few on eBay over the last few days so you may wanna have a ganders on there

Yeah look for second hand ones, dealership prices are around the £110 mark!
