OK, i got me a good pioneer head unit, with all the gizmos and RCA outputs you'd ever want. In the boot I've got a 100w RMS Rockford Amp powering the front Sony 10cm jobbies and some Alpine 6x9s. Nowt amazing, but it does me proud.
Or at least it did me proud until I actually solved a wire routing problem and turned the Amp up to full with no background noise... Now the bass-lines just overcome the 6x9s at anything over 30% volume, the only solution so far has been to chop everything off under 50k using the head units 'advanced' controls. Got lovely clarity and plenty of volume, but then I've not really got the bass that the higher volumes deserve...
So if I still want some bass at those volumes, what do you guys recommend that isn't going to break the bank? I've seen some built-in amp and woofer solutions for under the ton at motorworld...
