Saw two last night in Glasgow.

A Red 02 parked on Bath street and another (R reg black) in the NCP carpark round the corner from the Kings theatre.

Probably less than a kilometer between them.

Hi

I finally got round to posting.

I've seen a red M-reg b heading from Mansfield towards Sutton-in-Ashfield (A38) several times in the last week. This morning it was a couple of cars behind me as I was taking the b for its first annual service. The driver always waves.

Last Friday I followed a silver b (B9 xxx) from Matlock to the A38 at Ripley. I was driving my wife's Fiesta so didn't wave. We took the Fiesta to the dealer for its first checkover after she'd bought it the previous week and got chatting to the service receptionist who apparently owns a red b (not the one mentioned above). Her brother, who lives in Chesterfield, owns a silver b, but again not the one we'd just followed from Matlock.

And there were 7 assorted colours down at the Auto Italia show at Gaydon in September. Spoke to a couple of the drivers.

Hi
Its funny that even with all the posts in this thread not one has been a match, not one person has said that was me you waved at.

As a B is not a main stream car I would have expected people to be into finding out about the car, thus found this forum.

I cant see someone just getting a B as a normal everyday car and thats it.

Yeah, weird that, and the Chesterfield/Mansfield area is about to lose one of its bs for a while. Mine is coming off the road for the winter. That's the plan anyway, though how long I'll stick to it I don't know.

Originally it was going to be the only car but due to a fiendish plan I've come up with ;) my wife has a new Fiesta and I've got her Clio. So the b gets to live in the garage for a while. The car is on sorn from next Thursday, but its insured all the time, so if there's no salt on the road it'll get used this weekend and that should be it until May. But then, we might get a good early Spring so perhaps April:D

I've bought a CTEK battery conditioner to keep the battery in good nick (a Toad alarm is fitted and drains the charge quite quick) but any other tips for storing it will help.

SNAP !!

Mine is off the road from the end of the month and I was going to cash in the TAX next week until say April (ish) time :) Its the only way to keep your B in real top condition.

I have a 55 VW Bora but its just not as much fun 2 drive as my little B.

I will still be working on her over the winter months as I have a few more upgrades but its all down to ££ at the mo.

Mine's away for the winter. Red 55 plate but not seen any since I bought it. But I live in hope. My other half wants one now! The only problem is where do we put the kid and the dogs?

Saw a yellow m-registered b parked up at Lathkill Dale in the Peak District the other Sunday. No-one with it to say hi, but if the owners saw me disappearing up the road in my yellow b they probably panicked thinking someone had nicked their car. Lathkill Dale is fairly remote as was the chance of two yellow b's in the same place.Oh well!!
Hi magicmole, If the yellow B was a "W" reg and parked outside the Lathkill Hotel at Over Haddon or by Conksbury Bridge it was probably ours. Often have a trip out to Derbyshire on a summer Sunday afternoon and always call for a pint at the Lathkill, I must be getting predictable as also nearly always stop off at Ashford in the Water on the way down from Manchester. This Summer I was driving past Ashford following a yellow B ( we both let on) maybe it was yours. Good Luck.
